We celebrated a bit early so that everybody could be there (except Doug ended up having to work.. bummer!)
Our "dining room" before

And after!

This little room hasn't seen a table before. Thanks to some old tables from the backyard, some rented chairs, and a king-sized brown sheet - voila!
We present the Official Thanksgiving Table.
Welcome to your real purpose, little room.
Pies are warm and ready. We missed Aunt Katy's pies, but Mom did provide at least one made from scratch.

A turkey roaster is possibly the world's best invention for kitchens with oddly-small ovens that don't fit any kind of real pan.

The other best invention? The turkey thermometer with an alarm when it reaches the correct temp.
Our buffet table. And don't think we aren't too proud to bust out some old wedding party supplies. (Hello tin-utensil-holders with green flowers hot glued to your outsides.)

Mom got the boys Advent calendars with chocolates.

We now need an incentive calendar to get us to December 1, thanks to the never ending questions and concerns on the seemingly ETERNAL length of time that is for a 4 year old.
The humanity.

Grandad. It's just Grandad. And apparently, if you grew up with him, you'd totally understand the multiple meanings of the rabbit/squirrel/kangaroo pose. I won't even try.

The infamous "kids table" with 3 hungry boys ready to eat.

Nothing like working off that turkey with some backyard fun. This car is a favorite.

Mommy and Daddy.

And today at church, Zac made a pinecone turkey. The feathers listed what he was thankful for.
1. Mommy
2. Daddy
3. Friends
4. Nascar
