Good mom, Bad mom
The past two days, I have felt so on top of everything.
Monday, we went to a pajama pancake breakfast with our Pta friends.
The kids made Valentine cards for homeless kids.
Asher's smile was a little intense. Lol
SG is learning to write her name!!!
Stopped to try and find a rope for our new tree swing.
SG had her first real playdate!! That top right pic, she is driving a car to Coronation Day (from Frozen). The videos I took are hysterical!
Zach made friends with some kids who brought bows/arrows to the playground.
Tuesday (yesterday) was even better!
Cleaned the house, washed all the laundry. I made new chore charts and now the two little ones get to put away their own laundry.
Clean sinks and toilets. Then I made cookies from scratch, and actually made up the very very yummiest cookies. (Really. It will now be known as Sarah's Secret Sugar Cookie Recipe.)
Zach had a great morning. He asked me to gel his hair and blow dry it so that it stayed side-swept. We chatted while I made his breakfast and lunch. We got to school right on time.
Asher is now sleeping awesome in his new toddler bed (it took a couple nights of training and exhaustion), so he had an awesome nap. He's a total pistol half the time, but he has the most adorable personality that you can't help but love him. After I get ready, he is always there with a sweet compliment. "Mommy you look pretty." And during ballet, we were watching a movie in the car and I was reading a book. I had my hand on his leg. He says, "Mommy, you're so sweet." He's so so excited about his upcoming birthday. I just love that kid!!!
SG is my sweet shadow lately. Everything I ask her to do is "do YOU do that Mommy?" She wants to be exactly like mommy. And has also requested some matching outfits, which I need to figure out. Her new short haircut upset her, since Mommy has long hair, but I promise her daily that it will grow. Every morning while she eats breakfast, I brush her hair. It's a special time for both of us. I love making her feel pretty and special. Getting ready to go somewhere is an ever as we go back and forth on the outfit and hairbow she'll wear. I might joke about the hassle, but I actually love that time with her, helping her be independent, but right there to help her. She asks my advice and I try to respect her final outfit choices. (Haha.) Yesterday was ballet, and she loves getting all ready. The monogrammed leotard, new tights, and of course a pretty ballet bun.
We made it to ballet on time. Everyone ate their lunch. Zach had a play date after school. We stopped to watch a cheer class that SG might join. Our crockpot dinner ended up not being ready, so I threw together something that the kids loved. They all are at this AWESOME AGE where everyone can get their pajamas on (mostly), can all brush their teeth, and can all wait in bed for me to make the rounds of reading and kisses and hugs. It takes an hour, but what a blessed way to end my day.
Now I'm only 3 hours into today, andI didn't wake up in time to work out, I've had a huge argument with zach about his attitude, promised Asher a batman shirt that wasn't ready in time for school (he cried!), we were late to school, and I just ate several cookies.
I am so thankful that it's a school day so I can get my act together.

Princess party
I adore SG's friends!! Wish they'd all stand still for pics, but this was the most I could ask (beg!!) of them.

SG's new haircut in a ballet bun
SG got a haircut. (Sniff sniff SOB!!!)
I didn't take before afters. It's too painful. I hate cutting her hair.
But it's gotten so long and stringy, I'm hoping the cut will help it thicken up.
Anyways, omg, I couldn't not work the bun hair contraption thing for ballet! Seriously took me like 30 min.
She loves it though. Loves the hair brushing. Loves the hair doing. Loves the hair accessories. Loves the attention from mama. Loves it all. And, of course, I do too. It's pretty much my dream come true to be brushing my baby girl's hair. And I hope one day I'm teasing it up for a cheer competition. :)
Trampoline
One minute, they're like "weee!" And "yay!" And squeals and laughs.
And then I walked inside and we heard Asher crying. But then it was dinner and cleanup. And then Brian was all, "Something is wring with Asher." And I'm all, "yeah, he didn't get a nap so he's probably fussy." And then Asher tried to walk towards us and his leg just kept collapsing under him. So he crawled. And then we knew something was definitely wrong!
Children's was a mess of flu patients. (Nooooo!!)
So we left and got X-rays at a local urgent care. They didn't see anything, and we are supposed to wait until Thursday to see if he's still limping.
The dr at urgent care, although extremely sweet and nice and helpful (so sweet!), had no clue how to do the X-ray machine. They lucked out that Asher is the coolest kid (everrrr) and let them move him all around like a pretzel, patiently waiting for them in strange positions while they tried to figure out the machine.
He does this thing where he says "thank you" when a dr does something to him, even painful things like shots. It melts every dr heart out there. Bless his sweet little heart. So after each odd contortion of his body when they'd let him rest for a sec, he'd sweetly thank them. Love him.
We basically spent today on the couch watching cartoons and movies.
Anyways, he's still limping. I can't bring him to school like this (boo! I'm spoiled! I have appts tomorrow! I'm signed up to volunteer!), so he's going to be my buddy. Good thing he's cute. :)
Family movie night
It's definitely one of our family favorites.
This night we watched Neverending Story. Seeing now, as an adult, I realize I didn't totally get it as a kid. Like, at all. But it was cute. And SG loved the necklace on the flying dog (most random fav part of a movie). Asher likes all movies. For being two, he's a pretty awesome movie watcher. Zach probably loved it the most.
We totally gorged on sweets. Worth it.
Just uploaded the pic and remembered that I made avocado brownies that night. Lol. Not one of my finer cooking ideas.

Happy New Year!
Selah Gracie loves a good party like her mama!
The girls' tea party
And the costumes started coming out
Pretty soon everyone found the costumes!
We didn't have the enclosure up yet, but the trampoline was still a popular place to hang
The last two standing...
... Watching the Mean Green play a bowl game... And getting into all the leftover party favors!!
