What we've been up to

Some light saber duels

Family Uno Games

Chill-out time with Swimmy

Putting up Christmas lights

We went to the Neiman Marcus Children's Christmas Parade

Zac made himself comfy

Then the parade started.
And it was like...
Hey, cool.
That's neat.
Wow - those marching bands sure are loud.
Can I wear your gloves?"

And then, all of a sudden it was all...

OH EM GEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we had to hold him back from storming the street.

And when the 15 stormtroopers marched by with Darth Vader...
Well, we almost had to resuscitate him.

Zac also recently had a little concert with his bible study class.

Forgive the unsteadiness.
It was hard to keep steady while trampling the other moms to get the perfect video of my kid.

Then we had a girl birthday party to go to.

Which - come on - who doesn't like a Little Mermaid party?
Looking off to the right, you can see Zac and his buddy Kyle contemplating the situation.

Dude.
Dude.
What are we doing here?

London Bridge is falling down! Falling down! Falling down!!

Um... it's so tempting....
Must. Not. Join. In.

Put your right foot it! Put your right foot out!
Put your right foot in and you shake it all about!

Man.
Dude.
I love that song.

Ashes! Ashes! We all FALL DOWN!!!

Who wants to chase bubbles!!!
Weeeeee!!!!!

Dude.
There's a time and place.
Just wait for it.

Now what'd I tell ya?

I love me a girly party!

When life gives you lemons...

...so, our Christmas present to each other is a new transmission...

... and we are homebound for the time being...

and, even if we could go somewhere... it's a holiday...

... and we really need to finish painting the bathroom and all the accessories....

...so why not just make it fun?

Here's to a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated a bit early so that everybody could be there (except Doug ended up having to work.. bummer!)

Our "dining room" before

And after!
This little room hasn't seen a table before. Thanks to some old tables from the backyard, some rented chairs, and a king-sized brown sheet - voila!
We present the Official Thanksgiving Table.
Welcome to your real purpose, little room.

Pies are warm and ready. We missed Aunt Katy's pies, but Mom did provide at least one made from scratch.

A turkey roaster is possibly the world's best invention for kitchens with oddly-small ovens that don't fit any kind of real pan.
The other best invention? The turkey thermometer with an alarm when it reaches the correct temp.

Our buffet table. And don't think we aren't too proud to bust out some old wedding party supplies. (Hello tin-utensil-holders with green flowers hot glued to your outsides.)

Adrian with Lauren.

Lane, Zac, Luke

Mom got the boys Advent calendars with chocolates.
We now need an incentive calendar to get us to December 1, thanks to the never ending questions and concerns on the seemingly ETERNAL length of time that is for a 4 year old.
The humanity.

Nana and Sarah.

Peepaw and Daddy

Adrian and Lauren

Filling up on the grub (Adrian, Nana, Gramsy)

Grandad. It's just Grandad. And apparently, if you grew up with him, you'd totally understand the multiple meanings of the rabbit/squirrel/kangaroo pose. I won't even try.

The infamous "kids table" with 3 hungry boys ready to eat.

Nothing like working off that turkey with some backyard fun. This car is a favorite.

Mommy and Daddy.

And today at church, Zac made a pinecone turkey. The feathers listed what he was thankful for.
1. Mommy
2. Daddy
3. Friends
4. Nascar

Moonlighting

He can't slam dunk, but we still think he's a Studmuffin.

Christmas Catalogs

And I want that.....

And I want that....

They start so young.
