Sundays - a day for our little family to rest

I usually work most of the day on Sundays. But I only had one session today and it was so nice to chill with my favorite people.

Every school day, I take a picture of whatever outfit I've made SG.

I figure I don't have much longer where she will wear my homemade clothes, so I'm milkin it for all it's worth. :)

Anyways, she's forever the poser. Blowing kisses, shaking her hips, etc. Girlfriend loves the camera.

But today, it was her little brother behind her stealing the show. He had his hand on his hip, shaking back and forth. Yelling, "Cheeeeeeese!!" But not letting go of his football, of course.

So. Funny.

November pool fun

Well considering we started swimming in February and it's still being used in November... I'd say we get our money's worth from this pool.

Today zach and his friend were swimming in their clothes. Then they got out and were dipping a foam football and throwing it at each other (notice I said AT and not TO... haha).

Elections, soccer parties, and ninja hotels

Random stuff from today that I want to remember...

For his Community Project, Zach made a Ninja Hotel. I thought that was so funny. And so Zach.

At Zachs soccer party tonight, the littles shared a HiC. It's a very rare treat. They didn't move until it was gone.

Zach kind of smiled for a picture, but kinda wanted me to leave the arcade room with my lame phone camera. Unless I had more money for him.

He won a necklace and gave it to Selah Gracie. <3

Ash found a wall of basketball pics. He's in a HUGE sports phase right now, so that was exciting.

And Zach's voter registration card made me laugh. He's kind of sensitive at his (lack of) artistic ability (why do second graders say rude insults about artwork?? Never happened in first grade...), but I adore it. Freakin adore it.

And the "cursive" signature?? Love.

Ballet days

Wednesday's mean ballet! SG wore her long sleeved leotard, which for some reason was very special. I guess since she wore it, she thought it was cold AND rainy outside?

The littles are becoming such good friends. I love seeing their little relationship bloom and grow.

SG wanted two buns on her hair today. She is getting quite opinionated about hair/clothes/bows/shoes. I might rearrange her closet to make it easier on me.

Side note - she is entering into the phase where colors matter a LOT. she needs the pink/red plate/cup/socks/everything. Blue things??? Those are for the boys.

After ballet, we go and eat lunch at big brother's school, then take his class out to the playground. I always try to have something for his teacher. Because teaching is hard. And I'm sosososo thankful for her.

Zach loves eating on the stage and he is allowed to being a friend. Although he usually brings at least three up there. No one has said anything, so we keep doing it.

The littles are like the class mascots now. They are kind of like playground celebrities .... alllll the little girls wanting to play with them.

Again, we probably aren't really supposed to be out there during school hours, but forgiveness/permission, right?

We started a new church choir thing tonight. Undecided on how I like it. Kids had an okay-ish time. I miss my old church's Wed night activities.



Anyways. We love Wednesdays. :)

Museum day

My kiddos love a good outing, so we couldn't pass up a fun playdate at the flight museum with some of their neighborhood friends today.

My littles have grown to become good friends, which not only MAKES MY HEART MELT, but it also frees me up to enjoy watching them and just kind of facilitating activities. Don't get me wrong, I'm usually up for playing hide and seek... It's just sometimes more fun to watch. With my coffee. :)

Anyways.

Kids stuck together for a while until they moved onto their fav activities....

Ash: climbing, falling, general disregard for his physical capabilities, flirting.

SG: socializing, singing, finding girls who will dance with her, and pal-ing around with her buddy Caden.

They loved sitting in the airplane. Ash was fine as a passenger. SG was, of course, the pilot.

And I got some adult conversation in, so that's always a plus.

It's fun to look at all of the kids running around and knowing that in 15 years, these moms and I will be planning barn dance together... Love that about LH.

Also? My babies make me so proud. I was just really proud of them today.
