Selah Grace learned to pattycake! We love when she learns something new that allows us to "play" with her. We all have our own little things we have taught her and like to do with her. This is one of mine. :)
When Zachariah's first tooth was loose, it was very exciting. The night came for the tooth to come out, but he was nervous. So, we sat and watched lots of youtube videos of other kids pulling their teeth out. Then I remembered a tip someone gave me - to TWIST it out. I mentioned it to him, and while we were sitting on the couch - he twisted it right out!!
When the 2nd tooth was loose, he played with it for so long, that it had moved to the middle of the gap. The dentist told us that the new tooth was already coming in, so it needed to be taken out. That night, I asked Zac if he wanted to do what we saw on most of the youtube videos - tie it to a string and slam the door. He agreed and so I set it up before bedtime. He was so brave!!!
(he does get a little nervous at the end when he has blood in his mouth - this child will NEVER be a doctor...lol)
It took us a while to find the tooth afterwards (something I didn't think of!), and we ended up finding it lodged in the sleeve of my bathrobe hanging across the bathroom. That part was pretty funny!
