My kiddos love a good outing, so we couldn't pass up a fun playdate at the flight museum with some of their neighborhood friends today.
My littles have grown to become good friends, which not only MAKES MY HEART MELT, but it also frees me up to enjoy watching them and just kind of facilitating activities. Don't get me wrong, I'm usually up for playing hide and seek... It's just sometimes more fun to watch. With my coffee. :)
Anyways.
Kids stuck together for a while until they moved onto their fav activities....
Ash: climbing, falling, general disregard for his physical capabilities, flirting.
SG: socializing, singing, finding girls who will dance with her, and pal-ing around with her buddy Caden.
They loved sitting in the airplane. Ash was fine as a passenger. SG was, of course, the pilot.
And I got some adult conversation in, so that's always a plus.
It's fun to look at all of the kids running around and knowing that in 15 years, these moms and I will be planning barn dance together... Love that about LH.
Also? My babies make me so proud. I was just really proud of them today.
I love them.

Oh, you!
You, with the adorable fresh haircut. And hair gel. The local basketball team sweatshirt over your school uniform.
You, wearing calf-high black Nike socks. Throwing up a duece.
Hey you. Stop growing up so fast please.

Missing the game
I am currently sitting here watching Brian's favorite game of the year. By myself.
Brian coaches Zach's football team and his game is at 3. Tech started at 2:30. Hopefully Brian will be back to watch at least the fourth quarter. He is pretty bummed out. And I don't blame him.
Zach doesn't even get to go to half the football games and he won't be there today either. But Brian goes every week and coaches those boys regardless, and never says a word about it.
My boys love the Saturdays when they get to play/coach together, then come home to watch Tech, and throw the football in the yard at halftime. Just makes us all treasure our wonderful and normal times together that much more.
I've got to get back to texting Brian the red raider play-by-play. :)
Go wolverines! Go tech!

Sick days
It was kinda fun having ZZ home for three sick days. The littles adore him.
The weather's been awesome, and they love to play in our backyard. I saw them crowded around zach, and it turns out that he had caught a lizard. (everyone needs a big bro, right?)
I also took the time to finally cut Zach's hair. Seriously. It had been 3 months.
SG is really into flip flops right now. She gets set on something and she just can't let it go. Brian and I wear them a lot, and so does Zach, so maybe that's why? Anyways, I finally got her a $1 pair and she loves them. She is also very sure she knows exactly how to wear them, which is usually backwards and between random toes. And you know what? That's fine with me...haha!
She has plenty of days with no say in what she's wearing, so I give her plenty of her own too. In the pic below, we were at the store. In teddy bear pajamas. Whatevs! ;)
Love these cute kids. <3

Halloween 2012
Z woke up sick that morning. (we know he is sick if he isn't bounding down the stairs at 6am... Morning person to the extreme!!)
So that was a bummer because Brian really couldn't take off work that day bit our day was packed with other thins.
Sigh.
So Brian took the day off anyways. Selah Grace made it to ballet in her Wonder Woman costume (wish I had a pic!). I headed to Z's school to help host a luncheon. Then rushed back home to have Brian take z to the dr. (Strep!)
It's where Brian and I break out in "tag team, back again!" (bad 90s joke) We chose to skip the three other Halloween events that were planned and didn't even know of we'd make it out that night.
By dinner time, z was insistent he was fine to trick or treat. He was also insistent about being an army guy. Forget the promise he made after begging for the $40 ninja costume last month.
Then SG was insistent about being a cupcake instead of the wonder woman get-up that I spent hours (and $$!) making from scratch.
People. Work with me here.
We took the obligatory pic.
Our babysitter made the kids personalized treat bags with toys and candy!! Looove her.
Ash very quickly discovered that if he chewed long enough on a package (while we were busy chatting with neighbors) that he could suck the chocolate right out. Third kid.
Zach made it about 4 houses until he asked to go home and go to bed. Poor guy.
The boys cut out early but SG and I hit the streets. She's a pro. We stayed out for hours and had lots of fun. Then we went home and hung out with daddy since the boys were both asleep. It's so fun to get one-on-one time with a kiddo!!
