First lesson in wedding planning

What does this have to do with a wedding?

Wedding veterans worldwide are offering a sympethic nod.

We survived our first wedding-planning meltdown today.

Here's what I learned today:
1. Don't call her anxiety "ridiculous." This increases said anxiety.
2. Having an opinion on cake icing, guest lists, and scallops wrapped in bacon VS grilled garlic shrimp is stop-whatever-I-am-doing-important.
3. Be ready to wipe her tears (big points) and don't smear the mascara (bigger points)
4. Agree. With. Everything.
5. Just because you are both hovered over the laptop looking at fun honeymoon destinations, does not mean you have full clearance to make a joke about her bad breath. Not the time. Trust me.
6. Sometimes all a girl needs is a good hug. Especially when the poor thing is planning a wedding in 2 months. Bless her heart. ;)
