Day in the Life: Monday *DONE!*

Day in the Life - Monday edition!

The preface to this is.... I totally protect our Mondays. Especially after Zac's been gone. So, you'll see lots of chilling out today!

We'll start with Sunday night, actually. That's when we picked up Zachariah. Every Sunday night, we take him to get an orange sherbet ice cream cone. It used to be Mi Cocina, but we were spending too much money there. A cone for Zac is about 82 cents. ;)
Then we just mess around and joke and tickle and laugh and fun stuff like that. We miss Little Man when he's gone!!
Selah Grace loves having her bubby home and usually can't take her eyes off him!
They both usually get really tired here, and by the time we head home, they both fall asleep in the car. We've got it down to an art on how to get them in their beds without waking either one up... lol
Monday morning!
We were supposed to have a breakfast event, but it was pouring rain. So that will be tomorrow instead.
Zac was THRILLED that Brian left him a note. (And I thought - where's my note?!) Zac called him later to tell him he was "going down town Charlie Brown." lol
Enjoying his breakfast burrito and watching a Clifford.
Look who's awake now!! Both kids up between 7-7:30... and my day begins...
Today's trash day. We just put it outside our door on M/W/F. I will miss that. Look how ghetto we look because I don't want to buy real trash bags... haha!!

And, onto some work. I knew that these Valentine cards would be a headache. He had 24 to fill out and I thought we were both going to kill each other.
Here he is squeezing his name into the little space for the 16th time...
Selah Grace got to watch us go back and forth about these cards. She decided to take a morning nap before we started on homework drama.
Today was patterns... He did great!
Zachariah loves puzzles, so I was really excited when he discovered Rush Hour. I love this game!
Then he moved on to Legos. It's always some kind of Star Wars ship. Every day.
I had a poodle skirt to make today, and hoped Selah Grace would watch and learn. But she thought the television was more interesting...
Here's what happens to our computer every flippin day. If you don't move the mouse, you will get this lovely screen after about 10 minutes. grrrrrrr.
Then, we had lunch, but I forgot to take pics.
Now Zac decided he would sew with me. Today, he is making a flag for our family. I'm still not sure what that meant, but it's something he wants us to fly during Texas Tech games.
Selah Grace had moved to the exersaucer, closer to the sewing machine. Notice the zhuzhu pet... she loves seeing those race around the tray...
BBQ Pork Loin cooking in the crockpot.... YUMMO!
Zac got to watch a video from the library. He chose Rescue Heroes. They're pretty tame... but I *really* don't get their names:
Billy Blaze, Jack Hammer, Rocky Canyon, Captain Cuffs, Cliff Hanger..... I mean.... is it just me? Don't they sound like strippers? I promise I have this thought each time he watches it.
The kids love to play together. Here they are playing "baby burrito" where Selah Grace gets suffocated by my zebra snuggie.
And then I get to play Uno. We play this game a lot. A. LOT. It never gets old for Zac. And each time he puts down a card, it comes with a sound effect.
"Shazam!" "Boo-ya!" "How'd you like that?!"
Selah Grace helps me hold my cards.
Uno makes Selah Grace bored out of her mind, as well. But she gets to escape with an afternoon nap. Yeah, she's still in the bathroom. What can I say? It works.
And Zac is back to legos....
When Selah Grace gets up, Zac makes up a game where they roll together all across the family room. They were both laughing, and I admit - so was I. It was cute.
It's around this time that Brian is on his way home. Anyone catch that we're still in jammies? I love Mondays. :)
Anyways, I forgot to take pictures until bedtime. Bummer, too, because the boys had a hilarious pillow fight. Oh well.
Zachariah is NOT HAPPY to go to bed. Not happy at all. He knows I have the camera, and he refuses to look.
Well, there's certainly no chance he'll get thirsty.
And, no, he is not allowed to have his Halloween candy in bed.
2 things about this next picture:
1. He is SOOOO my kid! I kept my halloween candy forEVER when I was a kid... haha and
2. Dude. We just payed a lot of money for another cavity. Candy in bed? Seriously? How long has he been keeping it up in that loft bed? *sigh*

After Brian and I watched the Bachelor (why? it's so lame!), it's haircut time....

After:
That was our day!!!
Time to get to bed. We are passing out breakfast burritos at 6:30am!

So fun, Sarah! And funny---I have had this "same post" running through my mind for about a week; too bad I'll NEVER get around to it, at least not this year ;) Thanks for sharing your day with us! Glad to know we're not the only ones who have jammie days!

Love that you were in pj's all day. Wish we got more days of that!

Will you come take pictures of us all day? I was just feeling guilty for not taking very many of Emma, now I really feel bad.
