Day in the Life, Tuesday *DONE*

My second day of "day in the life." It's really really hard to take all these pictures all day.

After this week, I have some thoughts on Selah Grace that I've been processing over the past month. I'm a thought processor... sometimes it takes me a while to get it all out. Anyways, next week I hope to write it all down.

Aaaahhhh...... TUESDAYS.

The CrAzY day!!

To start off - we wake up around 5am to fix and cook breakfast burritos and get ready (because after passing out burritos, it will be time to leave). At 6:30, we head outside in the bitter cold to hang out at the gate and give yummy sausage/egg/cheese burritos with juice to residents leaving for work/school.

This is Zachariah's favorite event. He LOVES seeing his "customers." Sometimes I'll hang out at the gate, and he will drive around with Brian to pass them out to residents who are walking their dogs.

I have no pictures because it was SOOOOO COLD. Seriously. How do people in cold climates ever take pictures? brrrrrrrrrrr

And the day has only just begun.

... to illustrate... this is the PILE of things that we packed today in order to leave the house at 8:30am:
Gym bag
Diaper bag
Zachariah backpack
Zachariah soccer clothes
Dad soccer clothes
Mom lunch
Zachariah lunch
Zachariah dinner
3 winter coats
Valentine's cards/candy for co-op party
Daddy's lunch that he accidentally left

.. oh! and the kiddos... :)

We don't plan to be back until 6:30pm!

We leave at 8:15am to get to preschool by 9am.

Who am I kidding? We barely get out the house by 8:45 and are always late to preschool.

This is how I know Zac is ready for Kindergarten. He runs off without even saying GOODBYE!!
Selah Grace says, "where to first, Mama?"
Come on Selah Grace! You know where Mama heads first.... FIESTA! :) I love this grocery store. It's right by ZZ's preschool. Best meat and produce prices! It's also very clean. AND they have a real life tortilla factory inside. Love it.
Got me a banana for breakfast. (the one thing that didn't get packed this morning..ha!)
We drop off Brian's lunch and off to the gym!
Selah Grace isn't a huge fan of the gym, but she tolerates it. And the ladies there are super sweet. :)
11:30 comes very quickly. It's time to pick up ZZ from preschool.
He made a ship. Yes, it's another Star Wars ship. Of course.
He also made a Valentine's craft. :)
His picture... "It's me and Daddy walking into the Rec Center." awwwww!!!!
We eat our lunch at the Rec Center. I prefer to eat here because they have cartoons on and it's very clean. Also, he plays with his friend Vincent and I get to hang with Vincent's mom - a treat for me!
Yes, he still watches Barney. We keep the cartoons clean around here... :)
It's already 12:30 - time for co-op! We drop him off, and Selah Grace and I take an hour long nap together in the car.
We pick up Zachariah at 2:30 and he had a super fun Valentine's party. Two teachers help him pack up his treats from the party.
We see our cousin Kathryn! We love to see her sweet smile at co-op! :)
I have to monitor the Fellowship Hall until 3:30, so Zachariah plays Rescue Heroes.
... plays on my phone...
...then calls Dad to hear that soccer practice is cancelled. BUMMER!
He helps me clean all the tables. He sprays, I wipe. Selah Grace joins us in the baby bjorn.
Then Zachariah goes outside to play 4-square with the other boys.
I pack the car and let him play until SG gets fussy. When I honk my horn, he comes running...
...and back to playing on my phone...
Since we don't have soccer, and we still have an hour until Brian gets home from work - we go back to the gym. Zachariah is thrilled. He loves the gym!!
We meet Brian at home at 5:30. Pizza for dinner... and cucumbers. He is a superstar and eats everything without fussing. :)
We are in the middle of our next A-Z Mystery book. Selah loves when we read.
Bath Time!!! He always wears his goggles... silly guy...
Even Selah Grace gets clean....
After this, I left for a research study thing where I was going to make some extra $$$. When I got there, I parked in the wrong lot ,and when it was over, my car was locked inside of a parking lot. OOPS! Thank GOODNESS I was with a friend who totally went out of her way to drive me home.
Throws a bit of a kink in our day on Wednesday, but we'll manage.

OK - the pic of Selah Grace in amidst everything you have packed for the day is PRICE.LESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRICELESS! Just look at those eyes - it is like she is saying - "Yep - I have been plopped here and am along for the ride!" So funny and sweet and just made me giggle! Great to document this stuff because you will look back one day and wonder how you EVER had the energy to do it all!
Have a super day!
