Day in the Life: Thursday - Sunday

Thursday, February 11, 2010
*SNOW DAY!!* And by SNOW - I mean SNOW!!
Actually, really it was nothing compared to what I lived with in Virginia and Illinois, but for Texas, it rocked!

Selah Grace didn't think much of it. She'd rather eat hairbows. EVERYthing goes in her mouth these days!
I ran out to get Zac a redbox movie. Because I knew once he was a frozen ice cube from playing in snow, he'd want something to do. And everything else closed today.

Except the gym. Hey - a mom needs some down time!

I found a snowball in Zac's pocket when I dropped him off at the childcare. Silly guy.
Then it was me vs the stairstepper.
And then me vs the treadmill.
Don't think either of these work, though. I'm not losing ANY weight. :(
Back at home, Selah Grace expresses her complete frustration at being stuck in the exersaucer.
Zac is the BEST big brother ever. If he hears her crying in the swing/exersaucer/bouncy, he will go get her and put her on the couch to watch tv with him. She loves this!
At her nap, we go out to make snowmen, snow angels, and have a snowball fight!

Zac NEVER meets a stranger. When he saw some kids outside, he ran to get on his coat to play with them.
Until Daddy came home! They stayed out until dark.

Snow doesn't stop Dad from heading out to work. :( We were SAD!
Did you see that Brian got a new work car? I really miss the minivan SO MUCH. But he is in love with his new car, so we are happy for him.
I had some pics to get, so I took the kiddos to Walmart. Again, Zac meets a friend and begs to play with him for a while. They tried out each camera. lol
And Selah Grace just laughed and smiled in the cart. So precious!!

I took the kids to the gym. But forgot my clothes. And I didn't realize it until the kids were in childcare.
So, like a bad mom, I spend 45 minutes in the locker room talking to my sister and reading a magazine about OTHER people getting thin. :) Don't worry, I still drank lots of water.
Selah Grace is a childcare princess and demands to be held while I'm gone. The advantage to this is that the teenage girls here wear the most wonderful perfume, and SG smells SOOO good.
Zac doesn't even want to leave. Like always, he's surrounded by new friends.
That night, SG fell asleep in my arms at dinner. Sweet precious baby princess!

Saturday, 2-13-10
We have a birthday party to go to today. What should SG wear? Decisions, decisions!!!
Selah Grace gets to watch each family member rotate in-and-out of the shower. She's so good. She loves to be in the middle of the action. And since her "bedroom" is the only other "bathroom" this room is where all 3 of us have to get ready.
And she loves to watch herself, too.
Zac got to see one of his FAVORITE friends!!!! He actually called her the other day. On the phone. Hello - when did he turn 12?
And here's my little fashionista!!
Zac is so amazing. He will rub anyone's back, feet, head. He will brush my hair. He is such a little sweetheart!
I am laying on the ground while he rubs my back. Gosh, I love that kiddo!!
Then, we are off to welcome new residents. We get a list every week or so, and visit everybody to welcome them. :)
Lots of this at our house. Brian does laundry. Because if you know Brian - you know he Loves.Doing.Laundry. We actually argue about him NOT doing my laundry. Is that the dumbest argument ever or what?
More wrestling. It's not uncommon for this to break out at least once an hour.

Sunday, 2-14-10
*Happy Valentine's Day!*

To celebrate, we got to stay up all night with this little mess. :( Turned out to be a kidney infection... bless her sweet little heart. So, no more pics today because she took up a lot of our time. She's worth it!

I'm enjoying your "day in the life" posts! I've considered doing that one day of every week, but I'm not sure if I could keep it up. We'll see.

Anyway, I cannot BELIEVE how much snow you guys have been getting this year. I hear we're in for a very snowy February here in Nebraska. But I'm feeling SO ready to order our heirloom seeds to prepare for our summer garden. LOL

Have a blessed Friday, Sarah!!
